Sometimes the best thing to do when you’re unsure of your direction in life is to leave home and start fresh, even if all the forces in the world want to push you back to that familiar place. JayMob’s album “HomeSick” explains his childhood, who he grew up around and why leaving home was beneficial. It’s a great insight into what made JayMob decide to leave it all behind to start anew on his own. He does miss home, but his fear is if he goes back, it will be like he “Never Left.” In the intro, there is a voice recording of a female voice, saying she misses them and has heard the music, so it seems like he still has contact with home. He has family and friends he misses, but now he’s got a son of his own. JayMob makes music, and everything else he does, hoping his son will look up to him. The album starts on a slower note with “Anymore” and “Pain Inside,” you can hear some of the struggles that JayMob overcame in his life in these tracks. He definitely brought his A-game with a lot of wordplay in most of these songs like “GOAT” and “Collosal.” On tracks, “Tonight” and “Better At My Worst,” his flow is consistently locked in when he spits his bars and hits every beat. Life still has its ups when you have a bottle of Dusse in hand, good company, and an “I don’t give a fuck attitude.” JayMob pulled a feature from Skotty Benz to make his party song, “Dusse” which will turn any function up! The album also has features from Elan Vital, SupaMario, and Projekt Renegade. He has been doing better on his own, making his way, but it’s hard to stay away from a place that you once called home because it might mess up what he’s been building. Big dreams require significant steps. Message JayMob on social media to let him know what you thought about “Home Sick!”
