Lately, what has been your motivation to keep making music?
I’ve grown and changed a lot as a person over the last few years, and I feel like music is a way for me to reflect on who I am, who I was, and the person I’m becoming.
If you could point the reader to one of your songs to listen to after reading this interview, what song would you direct them to?
“LET ME GO” is a song ready to be discovered by the mainstream. Between the beat and the vocals, I feel like that song has a chance to go viral.
Do you have any advice you wish you could share with yourself when you first started your music career?
When you first start making music, you’re not going to be perfect—and that’s completely okay. The key is to wait until you can listen to your music from someone else’s perspective and truly believe it sounds great. People often only give you one chance, and if they hear something they don’t like, they may not come back. Make sure your music is something they’ll want to hear again. When you start making music, you’re not going to be good, and that’s okay. Just don’t release music unless you can listen to it from another person’s perspective and think it sounds great. A lot of people will only listen once.
Do you have any passions or hobbies outside of music?
I love fishing.
If you were gifted one free feature from any artist currently alive, who would you want to collaborate on a track with?
Billie Eilish or Bruno Mars.
Thinking back to your youth, what kind of music did you hear playing around you? And how do you think these artists impacted the music you create?
Michael Jackson, Billie Joel, Bee Gees, Journey, Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, and Otis Redding. The combination of the stories they told and the iconic melodies they created gave their songs a timeless quality, and I think that blend has influenced the way I approach music; focusing on both emotional depth and strong, memorable hooks in my own work.
Who are your top 3 artists in any order, in any genre?
Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift
