Are you Bilingual, specifically in English and Spanish? There’s a slim chance as only 1 out of 5 Americans can fluently speak English and Spanish. However, many of us in the US are still bilingual in English and Good Music. The latter is all you need to enjoy the Spanish/English album by Exclu$ive, “Rey De Mi Cuidad.” The title translates to “King Of My City,” because no matter what time of day, what part of town, or who he’s with, Exclu$ive has his city unlocked! The album is around 50/50 Spanish and English. It starts with ‘Si Te Digo,’ which translates to “If I Tell you.” It has a light guitar strum with some heavy-hitting bass and is a great way to kick off the album. Then we have “Avenue,” where Exclu$ive takes his girl on an adventure exploring every place in his city, down the streets, and to the top floors. We move onto “Desde Zero,” which translates to “From Zero” and is an upbeat track that you’ll find your head bobbing to while listening. “Yo se Que” translates to “I Know That.” It has a slower tone with the acoustic guitar in the beat and connects to the emotion-felt lyrics that Exclu$ive delivers. “Vibin” starts with a synth in the instrumental and, paired with the way the vocals glide on the beat, explains the title perfectly. “Mi Vida’,” which translates to “My Life,” is a fairly simple but smooth beat where Exclu$ive floats his Spanish flows. The second to last track, “Pour It For Em,” is how I imagine a Royal King would arrive at any event. The horns on the track make it known that someone of importance has just arrived on the scene! We then close out the album with “Dime,” which is fully Spanish lyrics, but the beat and rhythm make you want to find a Dime and dance the night away with her. Make sure to give “Rey De Mi Cuidad” a listen and message Exclu$ive on social to let him know your thoughts about the album!
