“Phantom Axiom” doesn’t have a definitive definition [I even Googled it]. I messaged Jedimiiz on IG to ask what it meant, and he dodged the question by replying the project is like a riddle requiring you to use the lyrics to understand his mindset. After multiple spins on the projects, I had a few ideas about what it could mean. Here is my most refined idea.
“A false idea or judgment someone holds about a subject without questioning it further.” Specifically, in this case, Jedimiiz is speaking to all the Phantom Axioms against him (“Truth Is”), even from loved ones (“Between Us”). While the album can be overlooked as a short 11 track project with good songs, a message has been woven into the lyrics under the first layer. When Jedi said it’s a riddle, he wasn’t lying; you can hear the many thoughts and meanings in his lyrics. He turns up on songs “There Is No Way” and “5am” while reflecting on his path in life and music on songs “Overcome” and “100:220”.
