Dreamii has his lane of new wave, bass-laced beats with relatable dreams and lyricism stitched throughout his songs. His EP “Make Em Mad” showcases his comfortability of using every inch of that lane to keep each piece unique. These three songs are a short eight-minute listen, but it’s smooth as he paints his desire to make it rich and famous with his music. The title track, “Make Em Mad,” utilizes background vocals in the intro and a guitar instrumental to help set the stage for his melodic delivery. Dreamii says in the track “Moshpit” that he paints the vision he wants for his life through his music, utilizing Manifest Destiny, but others want to tear it down. Dreamii’s ability to switch between his melodic cadence and rapping style is apparent in this track. He keeps the listener engaged by switching flows regularly. While the first two beats incorporate guitar melodies, the final song, “Overdose,” uses a piano melody while keeping his signature heavy-hitting bass to accompany it. Women and Drugs are a common topic in this EP, and he merges the two by saying, “she’s the plug for my love, and I feel like overdosin’, I was running from your love, but I need another dosage.” The somber tone in this track helps the listener relate when he delivers the bar, “when I’m dead inside, I swear you make me feel the most.” This excellent EP shows what Dreamii can produce while in the booth.
